Who has blu-ray? What do you think of it?

My parents a couple of months back, bought a new Panasonic 50" Plasma and it came with a free Panasonic Blu-Ray player.

We got it a month or so ago.. ( the blu-ray that is, because you had to send in for redemption.....

My dad bought a few blu-ray DVDs and its awesome! Picture and sound is awesome!

Even a normal DVD is great! The picture is a little improved.... and the sound is awesome! On our 5.1 surround sound system its awesome!

HD-DVD should have won. You can use blu ray on any linux >_>

What is exactly the difference between HD DVD and blue-ray? Ill soon be getting a ps3 which has a blue-ray reader built in...

I use my PS3 as my blueray player

i got a few blue rays and the quality is unreal

I play them on my 51" Samsung HD TV

I think Blu-Ray is great!

On a big screen it looks really good!

Everyone who has got a Blu-Ray that i have spoken to, thing it's great!

ITS GREAT JUST REALLY EXPENSIVE

HD DVD: 15GB
Blu-ray Disc: 25GB

And then Blu-ray is just more expensive, that's about it.

and blueray was in the ps3 from the start so that gave it a huge advantage over hd dvd right from the start

I hate Blu ray. many of us linux supporters are begging people liek cyber link to make a linux port of their software so we can use it.

Maybe one of you Linux goers should make one yourself, the system wouldn't copyrighted, would it?

Xbox 360 has HD DVD.

All of blue ray is closed source we can't touch it!
