Firefox 3.5

FireFox 3.5 is released! That means HTML5, Private Browser, Location Awareness..and my favorite...custom fonts!
All you designers out there, you can now use your own fonts that you upload onto your server and FireFox will tell the viewer to download it.
Now you you can make all kinds of new things via CSS.
The rendering engine has also be improved, I really like this version!

RE: Firefox 3.5

For once Firefox has been behind. They're one of the last to get HTML5 and private browsing (Only beating Opera).

I'm not really sure what that location thing does, but anyway. However, I'm wondering how that font thing would work, I mean fonts are executable programs, they could easily be Trojans. But if they somehow (IDK how) made it safe, it would be a good feature.

And yeah, it's been out for over a week. :P

How nice... Private browsing.

Only problem is Mozilla wasn't thinking when they made it, because Firefox's private browsing sucks, bad.

How does it suck? I can't think of how private browsing can possibly be improved?

RE: Firefox 3.5

In terms of private browsing it goes:

Chrome > Internet Explorer > Safari > Firefox

Why?

Chrome: opens a new window for private browsing and alters the display so that you know which one is which.
Internet Explorer: same as Chrome only you can't right-click and select to open in the private window.
Safari: starting private mode, starts it for all windows/tabs.
Firefox: hides non-private windows/tabs, until you get out of the private mode.

(I just went and looked that up btw, I don't have Firefox 3.5 yet)

Why..? Lol. As Myles said, and I cannot stress this enough, you cannot have any other tabs open if they are not private. I am not sure, so don't quote me on this, but I think if you close and have Firefox to remember tabs, it opens the private session tabs... Which makes no sense.

RE: Firefox 3.5

Netscape came first, it was one of the first browsers, ever. Mozilla was based off Netscape.

I like the newer versions of Netscape, I don't like the old ones.

Although, I you should't use it now, it wouldn't support any of today's standards.

No way I have used all and I would think...

Firefox > Chrome > Safari > IE

My opinion though
