CPU/RAM webhosting question

Say if I have a MyBB forum (or any forum, really doesn't matter) with 50-70 constant members online using a fair use system (hawkhost.com - shared hosting), would that be causing stress on the server or otherwise causing "abuse"?

Of course high-end plug-ins would cause some sort of stress, but hypothetically speaking, will it? I'm new to web hosting in general.

First off, anytime you have a forum with that many constant members online at the same time why on earth would you use shared hosting? Your site is most likely running slow already and plug-ins only add stress to the server. I suggest you seriously upgrade your hosting or just move to a dedicated server. Good luck.

That's true! To be a host you must have an extreme system performance, after that you can extend your hosting capacity, just putting a host fee!

50-70 users wouldnt really cause much stress on the CPU/RAM but as the number of visitors increase you should upgrade to a much powerful server. If you can't afford a Dedicated server, a VPS would be sufficient.
